rooom at the re;publica 2019

From May 6th to 8th we mixed with the colorful crowd of "digital society" at the re:publica in Berlin. This year's motto for the thirteenth edition of the conference was tl;dr, too long; didn't read. We made interesting acquaintances at our stand and stimulated many potential collaborations. We made spontaneous 3D scans of booth visitors, presented our app rooomBOOKS and pulled one 3D content after the other out of our sleeves. The response was great and we are looking forward to next year.
AR surprise on the main stage
On the third day of re:publica, Audrey Tang, Digital Minister of Taiwan, gave a short presentation on Digital Social Innovation. Since a journey from Taiwan was out of the question, the short interview took place via Skype. Jut before the video chat we conjured up the Transgender Minister in the form of an AR projection. The audience was thrilled.
Easter Eggs all over re:publica
In order to give the visitors an insight into the world of Augmented Reality even outside our booth, we have reached deep into the box of tricks. For this purpose we equipped some signs and posters on the conference area with hidden AR content. For example, a site plan of the re:publica or a spinning globe were ready for discovery. Perhaps next year we will be able to create even more such additional contents.
