rooom conquers the book market

The Frankfurt Buchmesse took place from 10 to 14 October. We were there with our own stand and presented our Augmented Reality App to trade visitors, the press and private customers. The enormous interest in our solution was overwhelming. Our innovative booth stood out refreshingly from the broad mass of mainly analogue oriented booths.

Awaken illustrations to life

For our presentation we selected a well-known children's book and a children's encyclopedia. Visitors to the stand had the entertaining opportunity to free several images in the books from their two-dimensional existence and enjoy them in 3D. For this purpose, a tablet with app was simply held over the book pages, over which three-dimensional images then appeared. Several publishers have been highly motivated to talk to us and let a multitude of new ideas for future projects sprout up.

Beside the App for the special kick with the reading in the classical book we presented a completely special 3D library on the fair also. This functions similarly as also other public areas on rooom. Guests can move freely in it, select a shelf and leaf through individual books. The slightly different library was very well received at the trade fair. In addition, the solution can also be used as a virtual archive or online shop.
