Erfurt.de: Benediktikirche can be experienced virtually

Once again, we were have digitally revived a historical cultural asset: We reconstructed the Benediktikirche at the foot of the Krämerbrücke in Erfurt, which was demolished 126 years ago, as a 3D model. Together with Erfurt's mayor Andreas Bausewein and city manager Patricia Stepputtis, we presented a memorial board at the former location of the church on October 6, 2021. It features a QR code that can be scanned with a smartphone or tablet. This will project the church into the real world via augmented reality in its original size and can be explored from the inside as well as the outside.
We are happy to have brought the historic church back to life and to make lost cultural assets digitally accessible!
