rooom is a project partner of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and supports the project "SocialSTAGE-VR". As a first test, we created a 3D environment for the opera house in Chemnitz together with other research institutions and companies,
The aim of the project is to design stage shows and TV events as virtual walk-through 3D environments. Visitors can immerse themselves in the virtual worlds using Virtual Reality and experience and explore real stage content as 3D recordings in event spaces. In order to make the experience as realistic as possible, the audience will also be able to immerse themselves in the virtual environments via avatars and communicate and interact with other participants. This will enable visitors to participate in cultural events from anywhere in the world, regardless of time and place, and to enjoy them together with friends or family.
