rooom AG has successfully closed a financing round, raising a total of 17 million euros - despite a challenging venture capital situation. The financing round was advised by Bryan, Garnier & Co. The funds raised will mainly be used for marketing activities and further internationalization, especially in the USA.

An analysis by Bryan, Garnier & Co shows that companies in the metaverse, AR and VR sectors experienced high demand in the last two years. Between 2021 and 2022, they raised around €25 billion. However, since the end of 2022, there has been a noticeable decline in these transactions, and in the first half of 2023, only about €2 billion was raised.

rooom stands out for its proprietary 3D content creation technology, which can be used without special apps or VR headsets, allowing virtual experiences even on smartphones. Although the hype around the metaverse may have calmed down, the market for virtual experiences continues to grow.
