Sustainable and customer-centric - This is how Holger Garbs from VentureCapital Magazine describes the business model of rooom AG in the current edition "Startup 2024". For this purpose, he interviewed Hans Elstner (CEO at rooom) and Stephan Beier (Senior Investment Manager at the investment company bm|t).
bm|t has already been invested in rooom since 2019, at which time the topic of Metaverse was still a vision for many people. Even with the currently popular "buzzwords" such as AR, VR, and AI, investors like bm|t show a healthy skepticism. With rooom, however, it's not just a "gimmick" with avatars, according to Beier. The business applications have invincible added value for companies from a wide range of sectors.
"Sales and marketing, human resources and training in particular benefit from our solution," says rooom CEO Hans Elstner in the interview with VC Magazin.
The fact that rooom is ahead of the international competition is also confirmed by the research and consulting company Gartner through its recognition as "Top Management Soluiton Provider" and "Cool Vendor". Driven by intensive cooperation with agencies and consulting companies (such as CGI or Accenture), Elstner wants to reach the next milestone soon with the break-even. On the technical side, support for headsets such as the Apple Vision Pro and the integration of rooom into video conferencing systems such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom are on the agenda.
