rooom featured in SPIEGEL magazine's report on Meta CEO Zuckerberg

Our CEO Hans Elstner was interviewed by the German SPIEGEL magazine and provided not only an impressive presentation of our AR portal, but also a statement about Mark Zuckerberg and his company Meta.

Due to Zuckerberg's activities around the Metaverse, software providers like rooom have been getting much more attention from the public recently. However, our vision of the Metaverse is different from Meta's course. While "Horizon Worlds" offers a VR headset-based experience, rooom focuses on device-independent, web-based solutions. Metaverse worlds hosted by rooom are not only available on VR headsets but also on any other smartphone, tablet, notebook or desktop PC - without installation and special hardware requirements directly in the browser.

rooom also offers an app for Meta's VR devices in the Quest Store to provide an experience for VR users as well. However, from a developer's point of view, it is not as easy to submit an app for the Meta marketplace, as it is with Apple or Google. To date, the application can only be found via the App Lab without a clear justification, "a kind of back room of the Quest Store," according to SPIEGEL.
