The challenge for Nubert was to present its high-quality speakers, subwoofers, soundbars and amplifiers to discerning customers in such a way that they could also be experienced online. Nubert products are characterized by precise construction, excellent sound, high-quality materials and advanced technology.

Nubert opted for a combination of classic product images, 3D models and AR to present the products online in the best possible way. This innovative presentation method offers customers the opportunity to see the products virtually in their home before they buy them. A true benefit - both for customers and for Nubert as a company. This interactive form of product presentation means that visitors spend more time on the website, which has a positive effect on the purchase decision and KPIs like dwell time.

Implementation with e-commerce know-how

The e-commerce agency NETFORMIC was responsible for the technical implementation of the 3D integration in the Nubert online store. NETFORMIC ensured that the 3D models and AR functions were seamlessly embedded into the existing store and provided a smooth user experience (UX). Close collaboration with Nubert ensured that the new features were intuitive and easy to access.

“Nubert operates in the high-price segment. Customers legitimately have high expectations,” explains Ina Dunst, IT Project Manager at NETFORMIC. “The product staging gets customers emotionally involved and allows them to experience the products almost before they buy them.”

3D and AR technology for an immersive experience

rooom provided its 3D self-service platform for this project, which was used to create detailed 3D models of Nubert products. These models are not only characterized by their aesthetic quality, but also allow customers to view the smallest details and surface textures. This conveys the feeling of literally holding the product in your hands.

In addition, rooom has implemented Augmented Reality features that allow customers to project the products into their own environment. This enables them to see how a speaker or soundbar would look in their home before making a purchase. This technology clearly sets Nubert apart from the competition and creates a deeper emotional connection between customers and the product.

“With rooom, a Metaverse 3D system, we have created the opportunity to bring products to life online in the best possible way,” says Timo Weltner, founder of NETFORMIC.

Nubert decided to integrate the 3D models via an iFrame. The ID assigned to each rooom 3D model made it possible to create a link to Nubert's online store, which is hosted with the e-commerce system Shopware. This means that the correct models are always displayed without the need for additional management effort. The seamless connection between Shopware and the rooom platform ensures that product information and visual presentation remain up-to-date at all times.

Results that convince

Nubert was able to achieve this goal with the introduction of 3D models and augmented reality (AR) on the product detail pages. In addition to classic 2D product images, customers will find a “View in 3D” button for selected Nubert products. Thanks to this innovative technology, customers now have the opportunity to view the products from every angle, zoom in on the details and even place the products virtually in their own home.

This integration has fundamentally changed the way Nubert customers interact with the products. The ability to virtually place a speaker in the living room before buying, for example, creates trust and makes the purchase decision easier. This is particularly important as Nubert, as a premium brand, has to meet the highest standards - both in terms of product performance and aesthetic quality.

 

Isabel Lassmann, e-commerce specialist at Nubert, summarizes the advantages: “Our customers benefit from the 3D and AR display by being able to view the products from all sides and look at details according to their interests in a matter of seconds.”

The launch of 3D and AR elements in Nubert's online store has delivered clear results. Thanks to the interactive display, the products can be accessed from any device without the need to download additional software.

The integration of rooom's 3D viewers is already having a noticeable positive impact on Nubert's online store. Customer interaction and dwell time have measurably improved:

The average dwell time increased from 3 minutes and 54 seconds to 4 minutes and 31 seconds - an increase of around 16%. Equally impressive is the development of the number of clicks on the 3D button: Without targeted advertising, the number of clicks rose from 914 in July to 4,647 in October, an increase of around 409%. These results make it clear that the integration of rooom not only enriches the customer experience, but also sustainably increases interest in the products and the attractiveness of the presentation.

The ability to see the products virtually in their own environment via AR strengthens confidence in the purchase decision and reduces possible uncertainties. For Nubert, this not only means a competitive advantage, but also closer customer loyalty to the brand.
