Metaverse and 3D visualizations are the new normal

In the interview, our CEO and founder Hans Elstner talks about rooom's founding and success story. 

After four years of developing the idea of a browser-based 3D platform, rooom AG was founded in 2016. At the pitch during the Investor Days Thüringen 2018, we brought our vision to the stage and were able to convince the first investors, such as bm|t. In 2020, the second successful seed investment round followed.

We didn't let the Corona pandemic hold us back and were able to respond to the new challenges with the idea of virtual exhibitions in 3D. The implementation of IFA 2020 was a milestone in the field of virtual events and has opened many doors for us.

We are currently working on many further extensions to the platform, including digitization solutions through 3D scanning. The metaverse is also becoming more and more important - and rooom is the platform to make the metaverse accessible for everyone.
