The video podcast “Pausengong” is about digital education and the school of tomorrow. The episode with the Bavarian Minister of Education Anna Stolz and Digital Minister Dr. Fabian Mehring introduces technologies and initiatives to make educational institutions future-proof.

Virtual Reality and Metaverse environments are playing a significant role here. The project “Metaverse School”, which was implemented with the rooom platform, demonstrates a variety of approaches to digital school education. For example, a virtual language lab, various learning paths or digital time traveling - experienced interactively with others through avatars. Different school systems can also be reflected in the virtual learning worlds. The balance between analog and digital education was highlighted in this context.

“It is important that we prepare young people for living in a modern, digital world as early as school education,” said Dr. Fabian Mehring, Bavarian State Minister for Digital Affairs.

The activities underline Bavaria's goal of driving forward education and digitalization, providing teachers with better training and preparing children for the future.
